APPLE THINNING IN DONNYBROOK

Leider kostet das Rumreisen immer Geld und somit wieder ab zum arbeiten. Kleine Aepfel abschneiden damit der Baum nicht umkippt und alle Aepfel versorgen kann klang da ganz gut.
Unfortunately traveling costs money, so we had to work again. Cutting little apples so the tree will not fall over and so can supply all the apples left sounded good to us.


Alles ganz gemuetlich... So relaxing...

... aber die Zeit geht nicht vorbei und du hast nur den Wunsch ein Loch zu buddeln oder sonstwas koerperlich anstrengendes. Und diese Fliegen...

Nicht ohne Verletzungen... und schon wird es wieder ernst.

Zum telefonieren auf einen Huegel laufen um Empfang zu bekommen... Langsam wird einem bewusst wo man sich befindet.

To phone we had to walk up a hill to get reception... Slowly you get aware where you are.

Einsamkeit... Lonelyness...

Depressionen... Depressions...

Naja gut, so schlimm war es echt nicht. Mit Aepfeln haben wir uns erst am letzten Tag beworfen. Aber zu dritt auf so ner Farm ohne die Moeglichkeit ins Dorf zu kommen war uns dann doch zu bloed. Ausserdem ist es ja schon schlimm genuch wenn man seinen Geist nicht benutzen kann und dann trainierst du nur deine Fingerspitzen und deinen Nacken vom Fliegenabschuetteln. Aber war schon lustig die Phasen auf dem Weg zum Wahnsinn zu erleben.
Ok, it wasn't that bad. We threw apples at each other not before the last day. But when you are three people on a farm without the possibility to get to town you just don't want to stay. Apart from that it is bad enough if you don't need to use your brain and the only thing you train are your finger tips and your neck from shaking off flys. But it was funny to get through the states on the way to madness.

Zwischenlandung in Melbourne

Wieder zurueck in Melbourne. Wollte Weihnachten und Neujahr dort verbringen aber mir war es alles viel zu gross dieses mal. Dennoch war es sehr schoen einige Menschen wieder zu sehen, besonders Belinda, die immer mit mir in Kontakt geblieben ist, Dirk und seine Eltern, die mich mal wieder bei sich aufgenommen haben, Eddie, Matt, Nick und Carl, den ich einige Tage in Torquay besucht habe.

Und weil Melbourne eine Kunststadt ist habe ich mir auch diesmal eine Ausstellung auf der Brunswick Street angeschaut.

Back again in Melbourne. I wanted to spend christmas and New Year there but this time everything was way to big for me. But it was still nice to see some people again, especially Belinda who always kept in touch with me, Dirk and his parents who gave me a home again, Eddie, Matt, Nick and Carl who I could visit for a few days in Torquay.

And because Melbourne is a city of art I visited an Art Gallery this time on Brunswick Street.

WHITSUNDAY ISLANDS

Die Whitsunday Islands liegen auf halben Wege entlang der australischen Ostkueste. Sie grenzen an das Great barrier reef und sind umgeben von der Gewaessern des Korallenmeers.
Sie reichen von der Straenden von Bowen im Norden bis zur Laguna Whitsundays im Sueden. Alle der 74 Inseln sind umgeben von dem Great Barrier Reef und nur 8 von ihnen sind bewohnt. Der Sand der Straende ist so fein und rein (99% weisser Sand), dass die NASA diesen Sand benutzt hat um Linsen fuer Teleskope herzustellen. Die Geldbusse kann bis zu 5000 Dollar betragen wenn man was von dem Sand mitnimmt.
The Whitsunday Islands lie midway along Australia's Queensland coast. Bordered by the Great Barrier Reef and cradled by the waters of the Coral Sea.The region spans from the beaches of Bowen in the north and Laguna Whitsundays in the south. All 74 of the islands are surrounded the Great Barrier Reef and only eight them are inhabited. The sand on the beach is so fine and pure (99% pure white sand) that the NASA used this sand to make lenses for telescopes. Penalty's for taking some of this sand can run op to 5000$.

Das Great Barrier Reef ist das Weltgroesste Korallenriffsystem, zusammengesetzt aus etwa 3000 Riffs und 900 Inseln die sich ueber 2600 km ausdehnen ueber ein Gebiet von ungefaehr 344400 km2. Das Riff befindet sich im Korallenmeer.

CHILDERS

Childers liegt an der Ostkueste suedlich von Bundaberg. Die Arbeitssuche hat mich dort hingefuehrt. Der Abschied nach 4 Wochen war echt traurig bei so vielen tollen Menschen.
Childers is on the eastcoast south of Bundaberg. Hunting work took me there. After 4 weeks it was really sad to leave all these great people.

Patrick und Corinna. Die 2 wandern nach Neuseeland aus und ich hoffe, dass ich sie dort eines Tages wiedersehe.

Gottesanbeterin - praying mantis

Eine australische Florfliege... das hat mich total begeistert (wobei keiner das teilen konnte). Die BBAler wissen wovon ich speche.

an australian green lacewing... that was so great (nobody could understand). BBA people know what I am talking about.

Ich weiss nicht was das ist, aber dieser Kaefer war verdammt gross und hat zischende Geraeusche gemacht wenn man ihn angefasst hat.

I have no idea what that is but this bug was damn big and it made sizzling noises when you touched it.
