Esperance

Esperance ist eine sehr schoene sehenswerte Stadt. Franzoesische Entdecker sind 1792 dort in einem Sturm gekentert. Die Stadt wurde nach dem franzoesischen Schiff L'Espérance benannt. Esperance bedeutet Hoffnung. Es hat ausserdem ueber 100 Inseln (Recherche Islands) die nach dem anderen Schiff benannt worden sind. Man kann sie entlang der Kueste sehen.

Esperance is a very beautiful worth seeing town. French explorers are credited with making the first landfall near the present day town, naming it and other local landmarks whilst sheltering from a storm in this area in 1792. The town itself was named after the French ship, the L'Espérance. Esperance, roughly translated, is French for 'hope'. It has over a 100 islands named 'Recherche Islands' (named after the other ship) you can see along the coast.
